You might remember Michael and Nicole for their engagement session that was taken in Griffith park here in Los Angeles. Nicole likes everything vintage and is very good with sewing and crafting. In fact, she owns a clothing store and has her own Etsy site ! Nicole brought her love for vintage theme to her wedding; she personalize just about everything in the wedding, down to the flower girl’s dress !
A big shout out to Amanda from Amanda Rae Photography, for helped me capture their big day at Malibu calamigo Ranch.
Nicole knew exactly how she wants her hair on her wedding day, she told Janine from Hairroin Salon the style and feel she wants for her hair, and it turned out wonderful ! Her wonderful makeup is by Noel Nichols.

Nicole and Michael’s ring bearer and flower girl are her nephew and niece, these two are the cutest ! The ring bearer has on converse !

I adore her choices in dress, earrings and necklace. Very classy !
Her wedding dress is by Lazaro

Isn’t Nicole stunning?

She even made the veil herself !

Michael can’t stop smiling!

Mr. and Mrs. !!

Nicole even personalize the wedding exit flower cones with a vintage book feel that goes with her book theme !

vintage photobooth tags, also personalized by Nicole!

Flowers are by Kate from Kate Baker Floral Design

Every single table number is painted on the back of a vintage book.

Even the guest sign in book is vintage !

On the top of the tent are these hand made decorations that were crafted one by one and string together. Nicole had a vision for this decor, and made it happen ! Thanks to Deanna from Chic Ambiance Events and her husband for staying late at Calamigo Ranch in Malibu the night before to put these up. Deanna is wonderful to work with ! I can’t say enough good things about her, on the wedding day at Malibu Calamigo Ranch, she’s so on top of things, it makes the day much easier.
Nicole and Michael were able to find a logo design on etsy that fits them perfectly! Her mom and friend Marissa helped with the hanging pom pom decorations, photobooth tags, table numbers and white washed books. Oh the love I feel from all the help Nicole had gotten!

Nicole made these Mr. and Mrs. signs for her wedding photos ! She did all the work herself !

Malibu Calamigos Ranch is a very big place, so big that there is a ferris wheel, barn and a merry-go-around / Carousel !

Life brings people together in mysterious ways, how Stephanie and JC found me was a total surprise! Stephanie and JC are so fun to shoot; they have so much chemistry that my shutter click was almost non-stop! While we were brainstorming on places to shoot, we decided to start with Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica, such contemporary, colorful and fun place to shoot !
Viceroy Hotel
1819 Ocean Avenue
Santa Monica, CA 90401

JC told me that he’s never been in front of a professional camera before. Really? I think he did really well !
We then move our way to the beach for some beach photos ! Love the Southern California sun !
I adore Stephanie’s green dress !
Stephanie, you’re fabulous !

Brian and Jackie knew they wanted to do their engagement photos at Japanese Garden in California State University at Long Beach the minute we discussed engagement photography.
This place holds so much sentimental value to the two of them! When Brian has to work late, Jackie would go out of her way, and go to California State University at Long Beach to spend some time with Brian, so the Japanese garden becomes a frequent visited spot for the two of them.
I absolutely love this photo ! It reminds me of a movie promotion poster of a love story !
This photo makes me giggle every time I see it, so full of love !

Since right now is Canon lens rebate time, I bought a 85 mm1.2L lens, and absolutely love it ! The bokeh is so creamy !

Another location that Brian and Jackie hangs out a lot is Dana Point Beach, this beach is very interesting, it’s not a sand beach, it’s a rock beach !

Brian couldn’t resist… was it a bear tickle? or is it Jackie ?

This photo below is inspired by my good friend Caroline Tran !

I’ve never been to New York. Had the chance to see the big apple in white last weekend.
On the day of our trip, New York was right in the middle of a big snow storm. Luckily we were able to land in JFK, the flights after us weren’t so lucky, they were all diverted to other airports. Since we were the only flight in JFK, all cabs went to the other airport, where business is. And all public transit are limited, buses are on snow chains, moving at turtle speed. We were stuck at JFK for a good hour before we were able to find a ride.
Lucky for me, the snow transformed central park, making it a visitor’s paradise: winter wonderland ! we don’t get snow like this in California !

I saw this little house in the middle of central park, I didn’t have the guts to walk all the way there in the knee high snow to find out what it is. So… I took a picture of it

I gotta say, snow looks better in picture, rather than out there in the cold !
